Going New Places

I want to thank you for joining me on this particular leg of my journey.

We are now halfway into 2018 and I haven’t written a single new post, even though I’m constantly writing in my head.  It’s been a busy time of personal, professional and family growth.  Now, it’s time to start the next chapter.

I have created a series from these i.s.o. posts and published on Medium.com which is where you find me for my next chapter.  I invite you to join me there!  Just look me up…..Erin Alvino.

Now for a few updates:

If you read about our trip to The Chicken Foot Inn, that has become our family catchphrase for any non-major-chain-hotel.  So far we haven’t stayed in any.

Hank, Rosie and I are headed off on another road trip this summer while Rocco has his first week at sleep-away camp.  This one will involve two MLB parks and a college tour!

The kids still haven’t mastered the difficult skill of hanging up wet towels. I’m at a loss here.  It’s just a total parenting fail on my part.

There have been more mass shootings than I can even name since my Pucks for Pride post and I wrote a post about at Medium if you are interested.

Donald Trump was elected President and the world is a harder place but I’m still working on being a softer, kinder, gentler me.  Some days I do better than others.

I try to keep running downhill, I’m also a Pilates regular and I walk with friends whenever I can.  My husband suffered a heart attack this winter which resulted in a new outlook on diet and exercise for all of us.  It wasn’t that bad… but there was room for improvement which we embrace.

You may be wondering about my Squad, my village, my sisterhood.  It’s still intact and we text every day.
